ALICE Valentine celebrated her 100th birthday with a party for family and friends.
Alice (nee Pennington) grew up in Chapel Street, Leigh above her parents' Pennington Pie Shop business -- which later became hers -- before marrying Tom and raising their son and daughter.
The couple moved to Lancaster Court where they enjoyed dancing and card games.
Alice now lives in Hourigan House, Leigh, where her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren attended for the celebrations.
