TOWN centre watchdogs want business people and community groups to air their views on life in Leigh.
Helen Stalker, town centres co-ordinator, is urging them to speak up at Leigh Town Centre Management Group meetings.
"We want as many retailers and voluntary groups as possible to attend. It's your town -- have your say!" urges Helen, who has a mission to reinstate the Pubwatch and Shopwatch schemes with the help of retailers and licencees.
The Group and Leigh Town Centre Risk management Group is also arranging a debate with Greater Manchester Fire Authority chairman Cllr Fred Walker, senior fire officers and Leigh MP Andy Burnham where the public can hear the pros and cons of the Leigh Fire Station pump argument.
Group chairman Cllr Brian Jarvis said there had been a spate of thefts from vehicles at Bengal Street car park but following three arrests the problem had ceased.
And Helen Stalker explained that more CCTV cameras were being introduced to deter the thieves.
