SHAKERS midfielder David Borley's mystery injury continues to plague him.
Borley was orginally pencilled in for Bury's opening match of the season at Oxford after making a quick recovery from a close-season hernia operation.
But three games into the new campaign he continues to struggle with his fitness levels and complains of groin pain that has the doctors baffled.
"David's a bit of a concern for us at the moment," said boss Andy Preece.
"He's training okay, but in reserve matches he can only last about 25 minutes and he starts struggling with his groin.
"His scans are coming up clear, so it's a bit frustrating for us and the specialist can't find anything wrong.
"Hopefully, it will be a short-term problem and he will be back in contention soon."
