A WORKING partnership has helped local people gain new skills.
Supported by the East Bury Initiative, the Click on and Learn Project has just celebrated its first year of success.
The project aim is to help local residents living in East Bury develop computer skills and is a partnership between Bury College and the Jinnah Centre Alfred Street Bury.
Sajid Mahmood the computer outreach worker said: " All the learners had never sat at a computer before now the can write letters , surf the internet and send emails to friends and families."
The learners were presented their certificates of achievement by. the deputy mayor Councillor Paul Nesbitt, Coun Trevor Holt, chairman of East Bury Initiative and Norden Cricket Club professional cricketer Asif Mujtaba .
