SPORTSMEN are invited to raise money for charity at the Mayor of Bury's annual golf tournament.
Teams of three are still being sought for the big event, which this year will take place on Thursday August 29 at Whitefield Golf Club.
For a fee of £200 the trio can enjoy a round of golf each, followed by dinner and a prize presentation. Alternatively, individual entries are available.
The Mayor of Bury, Councillor John Smith, said: "Like my predecessors I am more than happy to carry on with the traditional mayoral tournament which, thanks to the support of local companies and players, has helped raise thousands of pounds for charity.
"Sadly, due to a long standing holiday arrangement which has clashed with the event, I will not be able to attend personally.
"However, my deputy, Councillor Paul Nesbit, who is no stranger to the tournament as he was there last year, will be going along in my absence. I am sure he will make everyone welcome and, as always, it will be a great day out for all."
Companies or individuals wanting to take part should contact Susan Holt on 253 5382.
