WASTE management will come under the spotlight at a seminar to be staged by Groundwork Bury.
The event will be held at the organisation's base at Link House, Bury, on Thursday September 5.
Groundwork's Kelly Eardley will give an address on Duty of Care which will include the implications of the Environment Protection Regulations and transfer notes.
The landfill directive and the special waste directive will be presented by a representative from Viridor Waste Management which has an operation at Pilsworth.
Packing regulations will be highlighted by an expert speaker from the Environment Agency, Mike Thorpe. His briefing will cover an overview of these regulations, including who is obligated, the packaging chain, how to comply, compliance plans and the role of the Environment Agency.
