FLOODLIT Cricket returns to East Lancashire on Monday when Rawtenstall host the second annual Floodlit Cricket Competition.
The Bank Holiday Monday game will feature a 30 overs-a-side game between a Lancashire League Under 15s XI and a Ribblesdale League Under 15s XI, starting at 5.30 pm.
The senior competition will begin on Tuesday 27 August with hosts Rawtenstall playing Bacup.
Wednesday 28 August will see Haslingden in opposition to Ramsbottom.
Thursday 29 August is a reserve date for either or both of Tuesday's/Wednesday's matches.
The Grand Final - which last year was ruined by rain - will feature the winners of match one and the winners of match two and will take place on Friday 30 August.
All three senior matches will commence at 4.30 pm.
Professionals taking part are Bacup's Shaun Young and Haslingden's Ian Austin.
Rawtenstall's pro Andrew Hall is due to fly back for the start of the South Africa domestic season on monday so is unable to play.
The Ramsbottom professional Michael Clarke has already departed. At the moment it is not clear whether either team will have a sub-pro.
Entry is free for Monday's game and costs £3 (£1.50) for the other games. A three-match ticket costs £6 (£3).
