MORE than 2,000 people are tomorrow expected at a charity fun day to raise money for Rossendale Search and Rescue Team.

The Holden Arms Tapas Bar will stage the event from 10am to 10pm on its car park at the corner of Grane Road and Holcombe Road in Haslingden.

The aim is to raise between £23,000 and £30,000 to buy a new 4X4 ambulance for the team, which uses the pub as a meeting place. On the car park there will be a fun fair, live bands, a barbecue, licensed bar and a host of celebrity guests.

Lancashire Police will provide uniformed officers to direct the public to parking areas and manage traffic to ensure public safety.
