MUSIC fans at this weekend's Blues Festival are being asked to help keep the streets of Colne clean by using extra bottle, can and plastic banks put out by Pendle Council.
The banks will be at five locations -- the Up4It Stage opposite Colne Town Hall, near the cenotaph, outside the health centre, near the Shepherd's Arms public house and outside the Crown Hotel.
Denise Bell, the council's recycling officer, said: "We want people to enjoy themselves but realise that with thousands of people attending the Blues Festival it can be a major job to clear up the streets afterwards. We also want to encourage music fans to use the recycling facilities for both their own safety."
To encourage people to use the facilities Denise has even penned a poem which will be displayed in town centre pubs and local off-licences.
