FOUR men charged in connection with an alleged incident outside Barbarella's nightclub in Leigh town centre, including the attempted murder of a 25-year-old man from Liverpool, have made their first court appearance.
Christian Henry, aged 24, of Larch Road, Leigh, and David Higgins, aged 30, from Tennyson Avenue, Leigh, have both been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit violent disorder.
Ian Rawson, aged 31, of Willow Crescent, Leigh, has been charged with conspiracy to commit violent disorder and a firearms charge and Christopher Pemberton, aged 20 of Liza Street, Leigh, has been charged with conspiracy to commit violent disorder and section 18 wounding.
All four appeared at Wigan Magistrates Court on Saturday.
A fifth man arrested in connection with the incident was released on police bail pending further enquiries. Four men needed treatment for stab wounds after the alleged incident.
Police are continuing to investigate.
