A CHIPPY in Colne has made it to the last 10 in the North of England in the search for the country's best fish and chips.
Les and Val Scott, owners of the Cemetery Chippy, in Keighley Road, were told they were through to the next round following a visit from a mystery customer.
Last year they fought off 800 competitors to reach the regional finals of the competition, organised by the National Association of Fish Friers and the Scotland-based Seafish Industries.
They will now be kept on their toes, waiting for a second mystery customer.
The best fish and chip shop in the region will be announced early in October with the grand final in London on November 13.
