MORE than £1,000 has been raised for the Magic Eye appeal, thanks to horse enthusiasts and their four-legged friends.
A sponsored horse ride supported by 24 riders started from Longsight Stables in Longsight Road, Inkley and passed through Langho and Ribchester.
Organiser Carolyn Briggs-Conway heralded the day's ride as a "huge success". She went on: "Although the final fundraising total is not yet known we will have topped £1,000, thanks to generous donations from customers at The Strand hairdressers and sponsorship."
The Lancashire Evening Telegraph Appeal hopes to raise £200,000 for an endoscopic ultrasound scanner to benefit the region with the quicker diagnosis of stomach and oesophagus cancer.
