YORKSHIRE'S Simon Hurd completed a long-awaited maiden Challenge Tour victory when he carded a closing 65 to win the Rolex Pro-Am Trophy in Geneva.
The Leeds-based 27-year-old finished on 20-under-par 268, four strokes ahead of Gustavo Rojas of Argentina, and five clear of Sweden's Fredrik Widmark and England's Gary Birch Jnr, who equalled the course record with 63.
Clitheroe-attached Paul Dwyer missed the third round cut - just 22 players survived into the final round - after scores of 72, 71 and 71.
He finished two under, four shots off the cut, but picked up around £1,000 in prize money.
