FRIDAY lunch time, August 16, an elderly lady was in distress standing in an enclosed glass 'bus shelter' on the Boulevard.
She supported herself by wedging herself in the right hand corner of the shelter complete with walking stick.
Suddenly she collapsed banging her head on the glass panels. Fortunately a young man with a mobile telephone rang for the ambulance.
This elderly lady of 80 years plus, was obviously ill and in need of a seat.
The authority concerned should provide seating in all bus shelters for the travelling public.
Plenty of fancy seats in Church Street. Seats for the winos on the Boulevard, but no seats for the travelling public. Why?
