POLICE are waiting to question the motorcyclist involved in the crash which killed schoolboy Billy Dean.
A black Suzuki 988 motorbike was in collision with a red Porsche before careering off the road and hitting the eight-year-old, who was walking on the pavement with his parents.
The 39-year-old rider of the 1,000cc bike, who comes from Tyldesley, is being treated at the Royal Bolton Hospital for serious leg injuries.
Several people have given statements about the accident and police, who have put up an appeal for information at the scene, returned the night after the accident at the same time it happened to speak to potential witnesses.
Floral tributes have been laid at the scene of the crash outside the Horse and Hound pub in Market Street, Stoneclough, where Billy was walking with his father Joe and mother Elaine.
The woman driver of the Porsche, who is aged 42 and comes from Radcliffe, was shocked but not injured in the accident.
A spokesman for Bolton's traffic unit said: "It is routine to interview all parties and witnesses involved in a serious road accident and, when it is deemed a suitable time, officers will speak to the motorcyclist." Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which happened at 7.45pm on Saturday, to call them on 0161 856 5973.
