THE Rev Lawrence Laycock will be visiting the Friday morning Ladies Group this week where he will be telling them of his conversion from being a Joiner to becoming the village vicar.
The group meets between 10.30am and 12.30pm in Worsthorne Reading Rooms. Everyone welcome.

BURNLEY Borough Council's Community and Recreation Service is offering day trips to various places for people aged over 50. On September 12 there will be a day trip to Cleveleys/Blackpool, including carvery at Westmorland and Windsor Hotel, Bispham -- £13.50. PETER Pike MP held a lively and enjoyable coffee morning in Worsthorne last Thursday. Road safety issues were raised by residents and Mr Pike has promised to look into the possibility of some residential roads being given a speed limit of 20mph.
