NIGEL Evans, MP for the Ribble Valley, is in South Africa to attend a parallel "Earth Summit" while Tony Blair and other world leaders discuss how to tackle poverty, famine and the destruction of the environment.
Mr Evans is one of two MPs attending an Inter-Parliamentary Union conference on global environmental issues.
Mr Evans said: "We at the IPU conference will be preparing our own submission to the conference to be discussed later this week. We hope that it will make a genuine contribution to the debate."=
