A WOMAN was left traumatised after a man pushed her to the floor in an attempt to steal a £10,000 car.
The 39-year-old went to her vehicle in Fleetwood Road, Burnley, on Sunday morning around 11.30 am to get some CDs. The man approached her from behind and pulled her from the Vauxhall Zafira, forcing her to the ground.
There were various CDs, a mobile phone and white leather handbag inside the car.
The assailant was Asian, 5ft 8ins, stocky and about 30-years-old.
Police have made door to door inquiries and have been told by neighbours that a screeching noise was heard at the time of the incident.
The car registration number is PJ51 YBV and police are keen to speak to anybody who may have information. Call Burnley CID on 01282 472144.
