A WOMAN went thieving from a charity shop to get a new blouse to impress her estranged husband.
Burnley magistrates heard how Carole Anne Robson, 35, had been suffering from depression and had recently split from her partner.
Robson, of Napier Street, Nelson, admitted theft of clothing worth £2.99 from the British Heart Foundation, in Scotland Road, Nelson, and was given a 12 months conditional discharge, with £65 costs.
Mark Williams, defending, said Robson deeply regretted her court appearance. She had been on medication and her marriage had broken down, although it was hoped the couple would reconcile.
The defendant was meeting her estranged husband and had gone out to get some new clothes to impress him.
