GLAZEBURY Cricket Club was bowled over by village support for its fun day.
The event at the Chat Moss Hotel raised £1,750 for club funds, and is an added boost to a lottery windfall.
The club has recently won £5,000 from Awards For All towards the cost of all-weather practice nets.
Chairman Paul Warhurst said: "This is our main fund raising event of the year and a lot of members' wives and girlfriends put a lot of hard work into ensuring it was a great success.
"We would like to thank our sponsors Asda, Burtonwood, CPS Culcheth, Waterfields and transport firm T T Thompson."
