A BLACKBURN man who burgled a local address has been warned by a judge that he faces a probable jail sentence.
Zabir Hagi, 27, of Earl Street, pleaded guilty yesterday at Preston Crown Court to burgling a home on Carr Street, Blackburn, where a mobile phone, keys and cash worth a total of £260 were taken.
The offence was carried out on June 11.
Hagi pleaded to the charge on the basis that he stole a mobile phone, but did not accept having taken vehicle keys and money.
Hagi had no previous convictions for burglary.
His barrister Miss Janet Ironfield asked the court to adjourn for a pre-sentence report into his background. Judge Philip Sycamore put the case back to September 18, remanded Hagi in custody and told the defendant the most likely sentence would be custody.
