A WOMAN found her fiance dead on the bedroom floor hours after he had suffered an epileptic fit.
An inquest heard Margaret Chimejczuk had put her partner of eight years, Brian Shaw, 46, in the recovery position when she found him having a seizure in May this year.
But when she went to check on him hours later, Miss Chimejczuk, of Eastwood Street, Blackburn, found him lying face down on the floor.
Miss Chimejczuk told Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley deputy coroner Carolyn Singleton she shook Mr Shaw, who was on medication for his epilepsy, and tried to revive him.
A post mortem examination revealed severe congestion in the lungs and a blockage to the arteries. The heart was also said to show "significant deterioration".
Mrs Singleton recorded a verdict of natural causes.
