WITH several key players missing, Leigh Athletic were unlucky to only come away from Dukinfield with a point from a 2-2 draw.
After a slow start Leigh got the upper hand but then found themselves a goal down after being caught on the counter attack.
Leigh took the game by the scruff of the neck and got themselves a deserved equaliser when Steve Bevan headed home a precise Gordon Walker cross.
Another Bevan effort hit a post but another swift counter saw Latics trail 2-1. Chris Coop produced two fine saves to keep Leigh in it and not long afterwards Neil Sumner forced in the equaliser.
Man of the match was Dave Stead.
The second team lost 2-1 at home to Dukinfield in a bad tempered game which saw three players sent off.
