A NEW website primarily aimed at young people in Bury and elsewhere in Greater Manchester was launched on Friday (Aug 23).
The site has been set up by Greater Manchester Youth Network and can be accessed by logging on to www.vysion.info
The main aim of the web site is to promote voluntarily activity throughout Greater Manchester and to act as an interactive information point for young people. They can find out about essential services available to them and what's on in their area.
The Network has launched the new website to celebrate and promote voluntary sector activities and services following the high praise given to Commonwealth Games volunteers.
Included in the website is a search facility of services in the region, ranging from serious issues like health, education and homelessness, to fun activities including sport and leisure clubs. It also contains loads of useful links covering a wide range of topics.
Browsers will discover the site is interactive and includes a controlled chat room for use by youth groups across the region. It also has a graffiti wall and bulletin board for comments about the site.
Now, Bury young people are being asked to provide an input into the website. The Network will welcome articles of any kind from young people and youth groups, either about events going on in their club or items for the fun zone such as funny stories, pictures, jokes, music or film reviews.
If you would like to contribute to the site contact Greater Manchester Youth Network on 273 5122.
