LAST Saturday, I saw in a national newspaper an advertisement for a holiday cruise costing £1,645 for 11 nights.
The small print stated that there was a single room supplement (SRS) of £49 per night, £539 for the cruise which equals a premium of 32-per cent.
I wonder how many widows, widowers and single people there are who would love to go on a holiday who are put off by the SRS?
I assume the reason for SRS is that as most rooms home twin beds, it represents the profit on the empty bed.
In this instance the company concerned have lost the chance of getting my £1,645 by their greed.
I would love someone in the tourist industry to justify SRS.
