REGARDING the story on August 20, 'Firm shocked at houses problem.' Is this refusal for offices and houses to be built on the old Lower Darwen Paper Mill, really due to it being a green field site or has Blackburn with Darwen Council other motives, such as rather seeing see this venture moved further down the road to Blackburn?

The site has been derelict since the mill was knocked down and is now overgrown, the only use that it has now is for dog owners to walk their animals and for joy riders to dump cars.

If anyone would rather have this site as it is today than have it looking half as good as other business parks such as Shadsworth Industrial Estate, they want their heads looking at. But we are talking about Blackburn Council.
