LEIGH Centurions hope to wave goodbye to Hilton Park on Sunday - for this season at least.
The on-form Centurions don't want to play another home game until next year, reveals coach Paul Terzis.
Because if their wish is granted it will mean they will have qualified for a second NFP Grand Final in three years.
"We've mapped out what we want to achieve over the next few weeks," says Terzis. "And that includes Sunday's game against Swinton being our last at Hilton Park this season."
Play-off showdown
With Leigh already securing runners-up spot in the table with three games to spare, thoughts are now beginning to turn to the play-off showdown with Huddersfield at the McAlpine next month.
The winners of that game will automatically qualify for the Grand Final, the losers having the safety net of a home semi-final.
"We're confident that we won't need that safety net," says Terzis. "If feel the team is peaking at just the right time and I've every confidence that we can win all our remaining league games and then go to Huddersfield and qualify for the Grand Final at the first opportunity."
Leigh wrap up their NFP programme in the next week with Sunday's home game against Swinton, followed by a trip to Hull KR on Tuesday before finishing with an away game at Dewsbury.
Terzis expects to turn out a strong side against the Lions this weekend with Bobbie Goulding, Dave Bradbury and Neil Turley all pencilled in for returns after injury.
Goulding is given an excellent chance of playing after missing three games with a shoulder problem. Bradbury is also back after being out for a month with knee trouble while Turley will return after resting a back injury last weekend.
The only new absentee is utility back Mark McCully who damaged a collar bone at Hunslet and could miss the next three weeks.
Making debut
New signing Leon Felton will be in Sunday's squad after making his debut as a sub at Hunslet.
The Australian full-back or winger has joined Leigh on a month's loan from Warrington in the hope of securing a contract for next season. Felton, 23, began his English career with Ian Millward at St Helens and this year has made nine Super League starts for Warrington.
All players and coaching staff will parade on the pitch to thanks the fans after Sunday's game.
