BLACKBURN Rovers have been forced to concede home advantage for the second leg of their UEFA Cup first round tie with CSKA Sofia.
Initially, when the draw was made in Monaco yesterday Rovers were away in the first leg and at home in the second.
However, it later transpired that CSKA's arch-rivals Levski Sofia had also been drawn to play at home to Brondby on the same night.
That meant Rovers and CSKA were then told to switch the venues for their tie by UEFA officials.
So the first leg will now take place at Ewood on September 19 with the return game in Bulgaria on October 3.
"It's not an ideal scenario because you'd prefer to have the second leg at home," said chief executive John Williams.
"But there's little we can do about it so we'll just have to run with it."
Rovers, who were third-from-last out of the bag, now plan to finalise ticket details for the two games in the next couple of days.
It is four years since the club last appeared on the European stage and the tie is sure to attract great interest.
