A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital with a head injury after a collision with a car in Colne Road, Burnley, yesterday.
Sameed Ellahi, of Bank Hall Terrace, received a cut to his forehead and was taken to Burnley General Hospital then transferred to the children's ward of Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
His injuries are not believed to life-threatening and his condition was today described as comfortable.
The incident happened at 4.30pm near the junction with Elm Street.
The Rover car, driven by Costa Varnavas, 35, of Longworth Avenue, Burnley, was heading towards Burnley and the driver was not injured.
