CHILDREN who love to read and talk will enjoy a new group to be launched in Mill Hill, Blackburn, in October.

Following the success of the Chatterbooks reading groups launched at Darwen and Livesey libraries in January this year, Blackburn with Darwen Library and Information Services is setting up a new Chatterbooks reading group at Mill Hill library, in New Chapel Street.

Reading groups discuss the books youngsters aged between nine and 11 want to read. The first Mill Hill Chatterbooks group will meet on Tuesday, October 1, in the children's area of the library, from 3.45pm to 5pm, with special guests Just Poets.

Youngsters aged nine to 11, from the Mill Hill area, are welcome to go along to the library and take part in the discussions and reading.

Future sessions will be on the first Tuesday of each month.
