REGARDING your report regarding 'New blitz on speeding drivers.'
I fully agree with the use of cameras. If this will deter speed and save lives then so be it.
What I do not agree with is cyclists who ignore 'No Entry' signs, ride on pavements and miss pedestrians by inches. Even people who should have more sense, like postmen for instance, who ride through 'No Entry' signs
If this were motorists they would go wild. The motorist has to suffer the consequences of extra speed cameras, clamping and wardens.
But the cyclist just gets away scot free. They can do all I've mentioned and nothing is done or said. Incidentally, I've been driving now for 40 years. No speed convictions and two parking fines.
