POLICE in Colne are on the lookout for an ingenious thief after an unusual burglary.
Three or four lengths of bamboo cane were taped together to "fish" garments out of Hype Clothing in Market Street.
Nails were taped to the end of the bamboo cane to create a hook. Three Peter Werth mens' tops, worth £20 each, were stolen.
The theft took place between 4.15am and 4.30am yesterday.
Sergeant Vicki Haworth of Cone Police said: "It is a very unusual theft and we would like anyone who knows anything about it to contact us."
