A COUPLE whose garden was given a new lease of life by TV's Groundforce team threw open their doors for charity.
Bernard and Carol O'Brien, of Hesketh Court, Great Harwood, took part in an open gardens day for the British Red Cross.
They were asked to take part by Groundforce front man Alan Titchmarsh.
Bernard said: "A year ago, the Groundforce team gave my garden a revamp and Charlie Dimmock recently came back to see how we were getting on. Then Alan Titchmarsh rang and asked if we would take part in the open gardens day and we agreed without hesitation."
Bernard said more than 100 people turned up and enjoyed tea and cakes, as well as a plant sale.
Carol is pictured with Marian Boocock of Carr Hall Road, Barrowford.
