CRIMES involving young people will come under the spotlight during Crimestoppers Week which starts on Monday.
Crimestoppers, whose national Freefone hotline allows callers to give police information on crimes anonymously, is proven as one of the most effective ways to fight and solve crime.
Since it began in 1968 more than half a million people have provided vital information which has led to nearly 50,000 arrests, including 405 for murder.
Crimestoppers Week hopes to raise awareness of crime among 10 to 15-year-olds with a series of events at schools across the country.
A new poster is set to be unveiled to be put up in schools and youth clubs.
