THE Russians are planning to bombard the North West this weekend -- with music.
St Thomas' Church, Barrowford, is one of three venues for concerts in the area by a 12-strong choir based on the town of Pskov.
The choir, which has built up a high reputation in its own country, is made up mainly of music teachers and orchestral musicians.
The Barrowford concert will help them raise money for Russian charities, including children with severe disabilities.
Their visit to Barrowford on Sunday, September 15, is being arranged by the Nelson Arion Male Voice Choir.
Chairman Neville Mitchell said: "Apparently, they make a wonderful sound and the concert will be a treat for our local music lovers."
The Russians, are in the middle of an eight-week tour of Northern Europe.
Tickets for the Barrowford performance are £5 and can be obtained from 01282 867421 or 01282 606263.
