POLICE have begun an investigation after a woman was found in Fleetwood suffering horrific burns.
Police were called to an address on Gordon Street in the port at about 1pm on Friday (September 6), where they found the woman, who has not been named, being treated by ambulance and fire personnel for severe burns. The cause of her injuries was not clear.
She was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and later transferred to a hospital in Greater Manchester, where her condition was described as "serious".
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "Police have commenced an investigation and are appealing to anybody with any information about this incident to call them on 876611 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
