ROSSENDALE made it five unbeaten in the UniBond First Division with a well earned point at Belper.
It was a game of a few chances as both sides battled it out in midfield with neither keeper seeing a great deal of the action all night.
Dale started off well and in the first seven minutes Gareth Gardner hit the side netting from 15 yards out.
And home keeper Ingham was quickly off his line to nick the ball off the feet of Dale's livewire striker Gary Williams.
There was little other action in the first half until five minutes before the break. Williams played in Heffernan down the left and his low cross was diverted past his own keeper by Jones.
Gardner almost doubled the lead at the start of the second half, his deep cross almost deceiving the keeper who did well to tip the ball over the bar.
From that point on, the home side dominated the proceedings, Chambers went close with a header and Morgan had a shot scrambled clear.
And it was little surprise when an equaliser arrived on 65 minutes, Walshe firing an angled drive past Dale keeper Mark Andrews from the edge of the box.
Belper went lookingfor a winner, Smithurst's long range effort flew just over.
And, at the death, Dale were thankful for Chris Clark's late intervention as he knocked Chambers out of his stride when he looked sure to score.
