REGARDING your story on the lighting in Church Street as part of the £220,000 scheme to make Blackburn town centre more attractive (LET, September 4), do you not think enough has been spent?
As a Darwen resident, I ask: isn't it about time that the so-called Blackburn with Blackburn -- oops, sorry, Darwen -- Council (council of the year) came into Darwen and started to regenerate Darwen?
It's the town about three miles south of Blackburn.
