PENNINGTON Athletic won their second game in a row in the Under 18s section, defeating Monton Amateurs 4-0.
Craig Roberts chipped the keeper to give Pennington the lead and two minutes later Adam Ward struck a fine second. Just before half time Chris Kankalis drove in from 25 yards to make it 3-0.
Monton defended better in the second half but Pennington made it four midway through when Kankalis struck from just outside the area.
Under 11s: Captains Lane 0, Hindley Juniors 2 (Griffiths, Orville); Culcheth Athletic 0, Atherton LR 9 (Jackson 3, Guest 3, Riley 2, Cooper).
Under 18s: Bedford Rangers 4, Captains Lane 4; Bedford Rangers B 1, Abram Youth 2; Hindley Juniors 5, WJ Rangers 2; Monton Amateurs 0, Pennington Athletic 4; WJ Wanderers 6, Leigh 3; WJ Wildcats 2, WJ Colts.
