VANDALS have wrecked a garden specially created by pupils at a Leigh school causing about £300 worth of damage.
The vandals entered the premises of Leigh Central Primary School and set fire to rubbish bins, trellises and flower beds planted by the pupils only three years ago.
The plants and trellises formed part of an outdoor garden, which was created only three years ago using funds raised by the school.
Jenny Haunch, acting head teacher at the Windermere Road school, bitterly condemned the attack.
Anyone with information is asked to telephone the school on 01942 673810.
