AS a qualified hairdresser, Paula Henry had big ambitions but needed help to get started.
It was her dream to open her own barber's shop and that is where the Prince's Trust came in.
The national charity gave Paula a £2,850 loan and lots of guidance.
And Euro MP Gary Titley visited her shop in Water Street to see how the trust, which received £30,000 of European funding, made her dream a reality.
He is pictured trying out some scissors for size along with Paula (centre) and Janet Gardner, head of operations for Greater Manchester Prince's Trust.
"When I started out trying to get finance none of the banks were interested. They just didn't want to know," said Paula (30).
"I'd recommend the Prince's Trust to anyone in a similar position. They have been so helpful."
Her shop, Chaps, opened a year ago and business is booming.
