YOUNG people with bright ideas to benefit the Bury community could get cash backing thanks to The Prince's Trust.
The Trust has announced that it will grant 11 cash awards to groups of young people throughout the North West who have an idea for a project.
The Millennium Awards, says the Trust, is in keeping with the "community vibe" that remains in the Manchester area following the Commonwealth Games.
The Millennium Awards is aimed at creating an opportunity for young people in Bury who are determined to make a difference but who, until now, have lacked the funds to do so.
The Prince's Trust is offering awards of varying sizes to groups who can come up with an idea to design and deliver a project that addresses needs and issues relevant to their area.
