POLICE are investigating two unusual robberies where the victims had items of clothing taken.
In just a matter of minutes a 16-year-old boy waiting on the platform of the Metrolink station at Besses o'th Barn in Whitefield lost a jumper, his mobile phone and small quantity of cash when two offenders attacked him.
Moments later, a 14-year-old boy in nearby Balmoral Avenue was forced to hand over his jacket, a jumper, his sports shoes and his mobile phone by the same robbers.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to both robberies which occurred around 6.15pm on Saturday (Sept 7).
The first robber is described as a white male, aged 22, stocky, with a shaven head and wearing a cream coloured tracksuit. His partner in crime is said to be an 18-year-old male, slim with blond hair and wearing a blue jumper and blue trousers.
