PASSENGERS using Burnley and Pendle Travel can expect to spend less time waiting at bus stops to board -- thanks to a package of new fares to begin on Sunday.
Multi-journey discounts, return fare facilities on all routes and rounded fares aim to simplify change-giving and speed up the time it takes to get on the bus.
Commercial director Duncan Allan, said: "An inherent feature of most buses is the time taken standing at bus stops while tickets are issued and change is given.
"We are making a conscious effort to shorten that time by providing simpler fares, many more return fares and a wide range of pre-paid multi-journey tickets and passes.
"If we can create a situation where many more customers are already in possession of a valid ticket when they board the bus, we can shorten end-to-end journey times and make bus travel more attractive."
