BAMBER Bridge continued their mixed start to their UniBond Division One season securing a useful away point at Stocksbridge Park Steels on Saturday before being defeated 1-0 at Matlock Town on Tuesday night.
An own goal had given Brig the lead at Stocksbridge managed by former Burnley player Wayne Biggins who was sent off in the match for violent conduct. As before this season, however, Brig squandered several chances to secure victory and could only bring home a point.
Brig play Belper Town at home on Saturday in a rearranged league match.
