I AM told by BBC producer Jonathan Smith that a programme on Suez in the early 1950s regarding our medal is to be shown on BBC2 at 7.30pm on September 12, with Acker Bilk, General Julian Thompson and other top brass.
Moreover, I have been asked to spread the gospel to other Suez veterans who may not know the effort that has gone into this campaign including the media and not least your newspaper which we are indebted too.
We trust it will be of interest and 'red tape' will be kept to a minimum.
