IT would seem that money will buy you just about anything.
Brigadier, the Duke of Westminster, has just sold a 10ft x 6ft parking space -- that was used by his Grosvenor Estates' staff at the Mayfair car park, Park Lane, central London -- for, wait for it, an incredible £65,000.
I wonder what he is expecting to get for the prime parts of Preston that the council is going to hand over to him?
What he could get for our prime bus station site after it's handed over to him by our city council is anybody's guess.
A Selfridges or Harvey Nichols bid could go a long way toward getting back the £50million, the last talked about amount for the whole Tithebarn Regeneration from Grosvenor Estates.
The bus station site alone must be worth that, for at today's prices it would cost around £25million to build the central bus station and car park.
What has happened to the £500million plan initially talked about?
Or was that just the developers waving their money to get our impoverished council's interest.
