COLNE boss John Lister has demanded that his side show a more ruthless streak as they prepare for the visit of Leek CSOB tomorrow.
The Holt House manager made four changes midweek following last Saturday's late loss to Bacup and was rewarded with a 1-0 victory over last season's champions Stand.
Goalkeeper Ross Baxter returned after suffering a swollen finger while Leon O'Neill made his debut following a later transfer from Great Harwood.
Daniel Howard returned at right back while Stuart Walters made his first appearance of the season.
"If players don't perform then I have a squad big enough to make the changes," said the Colne chief.
"With the injury situation now getting a little better, there will be competition in all positions and that can only be good for the club.
"More consistency and we will be right up there this season, but we need to start being more ruthless!"
And he still has a number of players to bring back in as he looks to make an impact at the top of the NWCL Division Two.
Defender Andy Lawson will be out until at least November while Gavin Cooper is still sidelined for around four weeks after dislocating his knee in a pre season friendly.
Chris Ingham is hoping to be available in about two weeks and player/chairman James Webster cannot play until Monday after a month's suspension. Meanwhile, Gareth West hopes to be avaiable after starting his new job as a paramedic in Manchester.
