RYAN Parr is continuing to impress the watching pack at Great Harwood and boss John Hughes is hoping the centre back can turn on the style again against Crook Town.
They are the visitors to the Showground tomorrow in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.
The young defender, picked up from the local leagues, has come in this season, been solid at the back and even managed to score two goals in the process.
"Ryan is a leader, he has been exceptional. He does a job, he gets on with it and he dominates at the back. We have all be so impressed with him," said the Harwood chief.
It's a young side at the Showground since Hughes has taken over but he will have to do some swapping and changing tomorrow following their 5-0 NWCL Division One win over Cheadle on Monday.
New boys Liam Denning and Richard Fogarty cannot play until the next round because they weren't signed in time.
And Hughes is set to start with frontman Graham Lightbown, who hasn't played in the last couple of matches.
"If Graham plays well then he will keep his place, it is as simple as that. That is the way we work here. We have a big squad although we have a few coming back from injuries."
Shaun Bursnell has been suffering after a knock in the ribs on Monday but after treatment with 'reiki' healer Lesley Graves he is hoping to be fit for the game.
It does look, however, like keeper Daryl Sloane will need an operation on his knee.
And Hughes is till waiting on Neil Kennedy, James Counan and Glen Smiht's return to action over the next couple of weeks.
