THE scouts are descending on Chorley to take a look at striker Dean Butterworth.
The 19-year-old has been a big hit since he joined the Magpies in the summer and his reputation is spreading far and wide.
"We got him from Crewe and he has done well for us. I will just be happy if he stays the season with us because he is destined to go on to bigger things," said boss Mark Molyneaux.
"So far I know his old club Crewe have been keeping tabs on his progress and QPR have also been watching him.
"He has still got a few things to learn and he is a big powerful centre forward but good luck to him."
The youngster, however, is suspended tomorrow when the Magpies make the trip to West Auckland Town in the FA Cup first Qualifying round.
"He went and got himself sent off against Liversedge in the last round when we were 4-0 up so he will be out."
It's been a strange couple of weeks for the Magpies. They lost just one of their opening four games in the UniBond First Division and the expectations had been raised of Molly bringing back the glory days to Victory Park.
But they then slipped up, losing to league leaders Alfreton 4-2 on Saturday and to Ossett Town 2-1 on Tuesday night.
"It is just individual errors that have cost us," said the goalkeeper.
"They have been silly mistakes. We absolutely annihilated Ossett in the first half, it was the best I have seen us play this season.
"But we just couldn't score and then they got two free headers from corners and they went in. I didn't have a shot to save apart from that.
"I am just glad it is happening now and not later in the season.
"But we know we should have had six points from these two games. Alfreton are good, they have spent a few bob, but we should have done our jobs."
One plus point out of these games has been the performance of another frontman Lee Wilkinson, who the Magpies snapped up from last season's NWCL Division Two champions Stand.
The hitman - who got 13 goals last season - has found the back of the net six times so far since the August kick off and has found no problem stepping up the two divisions.
"His all-round game has improved, he has played well," said the Chorley chief.
"Lee has lost a stone in weight since he came here. He got on the scales in pre season and was 15 stone and he has worked hard to get his weight down.
"He has done it and it has worked wonders for him. He has set himself targets and reaped the benefits."
